I'm trying this out

This is my first foray into posting. My husband has been providing all of you some updates. Just wanted to share with you my latest favorite picture of our daughter Brielle.

Today is the first day I actually have not been with my daughter since she has been born. She is with her grandparents in Evans, GA of all places; 715.58 miles away from me. It is the oddest thing. I am not sure how I should feel sad because she is not here or relieved that I can actually sleep through the night for a chance. Could be a blessing in disguise; I actually have Juror duty this week anyway so it saves us a little money since we don't have to get a baby sitter, I guess. (NOT)

I miss my baby. I cant deny it. Guess I will try and get some major errands taken care of this week. What those are I am not sure but at least I will have a chance to figure them out. Once my folks back in NC hear about this I know I will have to get my but down there so they can see her as well. No rest for us stay-at-home dads and have a big family too. Have to be fare to both families ya know. (it's a rule; look it up)

Forgot about the pic. These are some shots of her leaving last Thursday for her plane ride down to GA. They went down there to surprise her granddad on his 75th birthday.

Since I was unable to go I got him two fishing hats for his birthday. Aren't I a good son in-law. why yes you are Rodney :)

Also check out her bid. I thought it was cute...... Hope I can make it through the week with out her. I will be calling her everyday I am sure even though she cant talk to yet. It would probably be good thing to setup web cams since I am suppose to be technically inclined right. I will look into that this week and make sure we are both set up that way when she is back she can still stay in touch with everyone. Later

Just another pic of her sleeping. As she has gotten older ( if you can consider a few months as older) she has moved up to her new favorite resting spot, my shoulder.

What I would give to be young again.

Am I going to spoil this little rotten? Probably.
Do I really care if this bothers anybody?
Nope.

How can you not just melt holding your sleeping daughter in your arms.. This was a regular routine for us seeing as I am not working right now. The plus side of all of it is that I really get to know her and learn how she works. I have had the pleasure of watching her grow and learn me as well. How could ask for anything more. Anyway enough of the sappy stuff. I would love to have a beer but I already know I have to get twice tonight to feed her. Labor of love I tell you; labor of love.
)
Of course I will be the disciplinarian as well. Don't sleep on me I am getting my parenting skills in order for when the terrible twos come around.

These are her two favorite pastimes; sleeping and hanging around on me.

I don't mind though.

Just checking out the scenery and showing off my baby fresh afro.

First day at home

I would like to introduce the newest member to the family; Lauren Brielle Robinson. This is what happens when a cat and a dog hook up :)

This is her first day at home and as you can see she is very content in her surroundings. Can you believe how much hair she had.

Mom and Pop were very tired, we did not get any sleep while we were at the hospital. So for a brief second it was nice to be back home.

!!!!Happy Birthday Lauren!!!!

There are no words to express this.

The Final Nap

Here we are at the hospital and as you can see I am chilling. This is a moment I will cherish for the rest of my life; my "Final Nap". Haven't seen sleep since.
